The Mexican Janus and Psychological Warfare - Lady Cartel and Lady Law

The cartels kill anyone who stands in their way regardless if they are man, or woman.
These activities are obviously designed for psychological impact to both establish control over their local territories and to keep those who are silent…silent.

On the other hand, we now have a young police chief in another part of northern Mexico.

While it's hard to say at this time how effective this young police chief will be, nobody can doubt her courage. One thing that can be said for sure she's begun a psychological war against the cartels simply by her presence.
Placing herself in harm’s way she possibly presents a difficult target for the cartels to engage without the potential for drawing strong rebuke. It appears this young lady has thrown down the gauntlet against the cartels. But despite being young, you have a young mother.. unarmed and apparently innocent; this young lady may present the cartels a formidable challenge. She is willing to take on the cartels…an objective that few men would take on themselves.
Will her actions help force people to come out from the shadows of her local community and start speaking out against cartels and their violent activities?  It remains doubtful at this point, but this may be a good start.
